FishGauge was developed to promote catch and release comps measured on the mat. Organisers pay a small fee to cover admin and running costs.
1. A set-up fee, by comp size and length:
| Comp length | Up to 50 anglers | 51–150 | 151+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 day | $10 | $25 | $50 |
| Weekend (2–3 days) | $15 | $40 | $75 |
| Up to 2 weeks | $20 | $50 | $100 |
| Up to 3 months | $30 | $75 | $150 |
| 3–6 months (a season) | $40 | $100 | $200 |
2. $2 per angler who submits at least one fish. Anglers who sign up and never fish cost you nothing.
(if every angler submits a fish)
A one-day comp with 200 anglers at $20 each: the full price is $450, so the 10% cap applies and the fee is $400.
A six-month comp with 30 anglers at $10 each: the full price is $100, so the cap applies and the fee is $30.
A one-day comp with 100 anglers and free entry, paid for by sponsors: no cap applies, so the fee is the full price, $225.
Billing: invoiced after your comp ends, based on what you actually collected. Season comps are invoiced at the end of each season.
All prices are in New Zealand dollars.
