Fishing has changed. Gathering a feed is still important, but fishing sustainably is equally important. Putting those big PB fish back to swim another day is how we secure our passion for the future.
Any fishing comp approved mat works
Use the mat you already have
Photograph the fish. Everything FishGauge needs is in the photo.
Length and estimated weight, on the spot.
The photo is the record, so the fish doesn't have to come home.
Your catch goes into your logbook, crew and competition boards

Show your mates, no more “it was this big” at the club.
Every fish captured has a photo, species, length, estimated weight and date. Extra details can also be recorded: location, fishing technique, bait used, weather and tide.
In a weigh-in comp, anglers keep a big fish in case it's the biggest. With a live board you can see where you stand, put it back and keep fishing. The photo is the record, and the fish swims away.
Live leaderboards update as catches come in. See where you stand, then put that snapper back and go catch another.

FishGauge was developed to promote catch and release comps measured on the mat. Fees are there to cover admin and running costs.
